“TABLEWARE DISTRIBUTOR”
Field of the invention [001] The present invention relates to a table wipe dispenser, which is a wipe dispenser that is intended to be placed on top of a table or counter or similar, so that a user can remove wipes from inside the distributor, one at a time, through a distribution opening. The towel dispenser includes a housing, which defines a product reservoir for receiving a stack of towels. The wipes are usually folded interspersed so that the removal of one wipe causes the next wipe to be partially pulled through the opening of the dispenser.
Background of the invention [002] From WO 2006/132618, a table towel dispenser is known which is intended to be supported on the rear face, so that a front face that includes a dispensing opening faces upwards. The dispenser has side faces that connect the front and rear faces at a height such that the dispenser is able to accommodate a stack of about 200 wipes. As such, the height dimension of the towel dispenser is less than one direction of the length of a dispenser footprint. It is also not known from WO 2005/107548 a dispenser capable of holding a stack of about 450 wipes, so that the height dimension from a rear face to an opposite front face including the dispensing opening is larger than one. length dimension of the front and rear faces. The WO '548 dispenser is intended to be placed on its side, specifically on a side of the larger area side, so that, unlike the WO' 618 device, it does not stand on its rear face. The WO '618 dispenser distributes vertically, while the WO' 548 dispenser distributes horizontally. Next,
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 15/142
2/56 we will refer, therefore, to these two types of distributor as a vertical distribution table distributor and a horizontal distribution table distributor.
[003] The WO '618 vertically dispensing device is made of a base element that forms the rear face, a sleeve element that forms the side faces of the dispenser and a cover mounted on the sleeve by means of a hinge. The base element includes vertical sidewall elements, two of which cooperate with the sleeve to define a thin paper cavity, which is opened at the top end for receiving, for example, advertising material. The sleeve is therefore transparent, so that the advertising material can be seen through it. The other two vertical sidewall elements form a coupling mechanism with the lid to secure the lid in the closed position.
[004] The base element and the sleeve element clip together on all four sides of the end of the sleeve base. Manufacturing considerations mean that the base element and sleeve are required to be relatively square, whereas it has been found that a more rounded shape may be aesthetically preferable.
[005] The cover of the WO '618 vertical dispensing device can be opened and closed around the hinge. In the open position, a towel reservoir is accessible for refilling. In the closed position of the lid, the refill access is substantially closed by the lid so that the wipes have to be removed through the dispensing opening defined in the lid. The lid is held in the closed position by resilient latch elements that extend upwardly from the protruding elements of the sidewall base element to enclose the capture elements formed within the corresponding lid. An
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 16/142
3/56 platform fits in the space defined by the sleeve and the side wall elements on which the stack rests. The platform is actuated by a spring for the distribution opening.
[006] To release the latch elements, the side wall elements of the base element must be pushed inward using an arc provided in the sleeve element. This requires, moreover, when the platform is in an upper position adjacent to the distribution opening, which occurs when the stack is low or fully used, the platform tends, as has been verified and due to tight tolerances, to block the depression into the sidewall elements and associated latch elements. It is desirable to provide a lid element that is easier to open, once the user knows the ability to do so.
[007] Vertical sidewall elements that partially define the advertising cavity include a thumb-sized cutout from an otherwise rectangular element to allow the advertising material to be removed and perhaps replaced. The advertising material, therefore, must be of a specified size, encouraging the use of a standardized format for the preparation of the advertising material. It has been found that a more flexible system may be desirable.
[008] In the WO '548 horizontal dispensing towel dispenser, a sleeve element is also provided that defines a dispenser housing and also defines an internal product reservoir. The sleeve element is engaged with a base element. The sleeve element, and thus an outer appearance of the dispenser, is restricted to being molded into a relatively square shape, due to manufacturing considerations, while it has been found that consumers may prefer a more rounded appearance.
[009] The sleeve element defines guide channels that receive
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 17/142
4/56 one-drawer guide rails. The drawer is guided between a stowed and closed position in relation to the sleeve, and an extended position to refill the drawer with wipes. The front face of the drawer defines a front face of the dispenser and includes a dispensing opening. The drawer is kept closed in the retracted position by a coupling mechanism. The drawer defines a tray with the upright side and rear walls to receive the stack of wipes. A mounted transverse panel capable of translation into the drawer is provided to actuate the stack towards the dispensing opening, it has been found that the actuation configuration disclosed in WO '548 can in some uses allow the wipes to fall outside the dispensing opening when the battery approaches a fully depleted state. It was found that a more consistent performance configuration can be useful in some cases.
[010] The WO '548 dispenser is designed exclusively for horizontal distribution. It has been found that a dispenser of this type, with a drawer and a relatively large capacity for wipes and which can also distribute vertically would be desirable.
[011] Objects of the various embodiments of the present invention aim to overcome the problems identified above or to resolve the desirable characteristics identified above.
Brief description of the invention [012] In accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a table towel dispenser comprising a rear wall element and four side wall elements that are mounted on the rear wall element to define a box. open ends, providing a slot for a stack of wipes and a front element that includes a dispensing opening that is movable between an open position in relation to the open end box
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 18/142
5/56 to provide access to the towel dispenser refill and a closed position, to close the open end of the box, where the rear wall element, and the four side wall elements are separately injection molded parts, which are coupled to form the open-ended box.
[013] The first embodiment of the present invention requires the towel dispenser to include side and rear wall elements, which are molded parts formed separately by injection, and which are coupled together. This embodiment of the invention is able to improve the appearance of the towel dispenser because forming the dispenser in separate parts provides greater design flexibility compared to an integral construction. For example, a more rounded profile for the tissue box is possible, which has been considered desirable. In addition, simplicity of manufacture is ensured by molding the components so that they fit together.
[014] In one embodiment, the side wall elements include first and second opposite side wall elements that are identical in that they are formed from the same first injection mold and include opposite third and fourth side wall elements , which are identical because they are formed from the same second injection mold, so that the first and second side wall elements are interchangeable in the towel dispenser during assembly and the third and fourth side wall elements are interchangeable with each other in the towel dispenser during assembly, however, the first and second side wall elements are not interchangeable with the third and fourth side wall elements of the towel dispenser during assembly. Such a structure allows a reduction in the number of injection molds to be used in manufacturing. In addition, the assembly process
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 19/142
6/56 is simplified, since it is not necessary to discriminate between the first and second sidewall elements and the third and fourth sidewall elements. That is, the first and second side wall elements can be taken indiscriminately from the same piece compartment and the third and fourth side wall elements can be taken indiscriminately from a different piece compartment.
[015] In more detail, if the first and second elements of the sidewall were exchanged in position with respect to the posterior element or the third and other elements of the sidewall were exchanged in position with respect to the posterior element, the dimensions of the first and second side wall elements would still match the dimensions of the rear element or the dimensions of the third and fourth side wall elements would still match those of the rear element and the coupled structure of the side elements would still correspond with the corresponding coupled structure of the rear element and with structure homologous coupled between the side wall elements. If the first sidewall element were shifted with respect to the rear element with the third or fourth sidewall element or the second sidewall element were shifted with respect to the rear element with the third or fourth sidewall elements , the dimensions of the first or second side wall elements would not match the dimensions of the rear element and the dimensions of the interchangeable side elements would not match, and there would be an unmatched coupled structure between the side elements and an unmatched coupled structure with the rear element .
[016] Put another way, the first and second side wall elements are left and right hand pieces with respect to the rear element and the third and fourth side elements are hand pieces
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 20/142
7/56 left and right with respect to the rear element, and they can be exchanged allowing the open end box to be coupled together in the same measure, during assembly and without affecting the physical shape of the open end box.
[017] In one embodiment, the first and second sidewall elements are of a different size (surface area) from the third and fourth sidewall elements. Additionally, or alternatively, the first and second sidewall elements define a different mounting structure from the third and fourth sidewall elements. That is, the first and second sidewall elements include a coupling frame assembly and the third and fourth sidewall elements include a corresponding coupling frame structure. In one embodiment, the first and second sidewall elements include clamp-type coupling elements (for example, projections for engaging a recess in the adjacent sidewall element or recesses for receiving projections from an adjacent sidewall element in a manner resilient) on opposite sides of the sidewall element, respectively adjacent to the third and fourth sidewall elements and the third and fourth sidewall elements include counterpart coupling elements.
[018] In one embodiment, each side element is symmetrical around the central axis of the respective side wall element that passes in a direction from front to back, which is a way to achieve the desired interchangeability.
[019] In one embodiment, some or all of the pieces are coupled together by means of elastic elements, including respective projections that are coupled in recesses. Thus, while the pieces are joined, the elastic element deforms and, when the projection is aligned with the
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 21/142
8/56 recess, the elasticity of the element forces the projection into the recess. Alternatively, some or all of the pieces are coupled together by means of elasticity of the part with the recess, and the projections are coupled in such recesses. That is, the part with the cavity deforms elastically to couple the projection inside the recess, when they are aligned.
[020] In one embodiment, the towel dispenser includes a platform and a push element, the platform being pushed by the push element towards the dispensing opening so that the platform forces the stack of towels towards the dispensing opening from the back side of the stack. The push element can be located between the rear element and the platform and pushes the platform towards the dispensing opening to ensure that the stack of wipes is always displayed adjacent to the dispensing opening, regardless of the degree of depletion of the stack. In one embodiment, the platform is provided by a new separate injection molded part. The pushing element, in one embodiment, is provided by a spring, which can be made of metal.
[021] In one embodiment, at least one of the sidewall elements consists of an outer wall element and an inner wall element that defines a sheet-shaped cavity between them for receiving sheet material, in which the outer wall element is transparent so that the sheet of material disposed in the cavity can be seen from the outside of the dispenser through the outer wall element. The injection molded constructions of the towel dispenser provide some design freedom in terms of where to locate the transparent wall part. In one embodiment, the opposing first and second side wall elements are opaque and at least one of the opposing third and fourth side wall elements is transparent, wherein the first, second, third and fourth side wall elements are transparent.
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 22/142
9/56 parts molded separately by injection.
[022] In one embodiment, at least one of the side wall elements, and preferably the opposite side wall elements, are made up of an inner wall element and an outer wall element which are parts molded separately by injection in order to define a cavity between them for receiving sheet material, in which the first and second wall elements support the sheet material. The outer wall element is transparent so that the sheet material within the cavity can be seen from the outside of the towel dispenser through the outer wall element. In one embodiment, the inner and outer wall elements are joined together by the inner wall element, which includes a frame for engaging the outer side of the outer wall element or the outer wall element, includes the frame for engaging the inner side of the element interior wall. In one embodiment the structure is brought in for coupling, bringing the inner and outer wall elements in contact relationship, although still displaced, and moving the inner and outer wall elements along the plane of the wall elements relative to each other to an aligned position. In one embodiment, the movement is in a front-to-back direction, in one embodiment, the inner or outer walls include resilient fingers with projections on them for reception in recesses on the other of the inner or outer wall elements, to lock the aligned position to prevent the reverse movement for displacement to the aligned movement. This structure provides a convenient manufacturing way to create an advertising material cavity.
[023] In one embodiment, the front element is provided by a drawer that can slide inside the open end box between the open position and the closed position, the drawer defining a support for the
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 23/142
10/56 receiving the stack of wipes. The side wall elements of the open end box and the drawer define cooperating guide rails and channels to facilitate the opening and closing of the drawer. This provision provides for a relatively large capacity towel dispenser. In one embodiment, each of the opposing first and second side wall elements includes first and second guide channels or drawer guide rails, which are arranged symmetrically over the side wall element, with respect to an axis extending between the first and second channels or rails, where the axis is placed centrally in relation to the side wall element. The guide channels or counterpart guide rails of the drawer are interlocked with two corresponding guide rails or guide channels respectively provided in the opposite sidewall elements. The other two guide rails or channels of the opposite side wall elements are free of such coupling. In this way, the side wall element parts can be coupled on both sides of the opposite sides of the dispenser and there will always be a homologous guide rail or guide channel to engage with the drawer. In contrast to this, there is a configuration in which there is only one guide rail or guide channel arranged centrally and, if the side wall elements were formed by separate pieces, there would be a possibility that the guide rails or opposite guide channels would not correspond with each other. In one embodiment, each of the opposing sidewall elements includes a pair of guide rails or channels and the drawer includes first and second counterparts channels or rails on opposite sides of the drawers such that the drawer can be mounted on the end box opened in a first configuration to one of the pair of guide rails or channels of the side wall elements and in a second configuration upside down to the other pair. That is, the opposite sidewall elements, each including first and second guide rails or channels are
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 24/142
11/56 interchangeable without misalignment of the guide rails or opposite channels.
[024] In an alternative embodiment, the front element is provided by a cover element that is pivotally mounted to the open-ended box for rotation between the open and closed positions. The cover element can thus be opened by rotation about the axis for refilling the dispenser. In one embodiment, the sidewall elements comprise opposing first and second sidewall elements, each of which having first and second hinge elements which are arranged symmetrically with respect to an axis passing between the first and second hinge elements, wherein the axis is a central axis of the side wall element, and the cover element is pivotally mounted on two corresponding hinge elements respectively on opposite side wall elements. In this way, there is no possibility of using the wrong part and hinge elements in the parts of opposite elements of the side wall being non-matching. That is, the opposite side wall elements, including each of the first and second axes, are interchangeable without misalignment of opposite hinge pairs. The other two hinge elements on the opposite side wall elements are free from the cover element being pivotally mounted to them.
[025] In one embodiment, the rear wall element defines a flat base piece and opposite curved sides connecting with the opposite side walls, to obtain a rounded outer profile for the towel dispenser. In one embodiment, the flat base piece extends to the edge of the rear side wall part on the other two opposite sides, in one embodiment, integrally molded tongues extend from the end of the flat base part on the two opposite sides that respectively include projections of coupling that are attachable in recesses
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 25/142
12/56 engagement of opposite side wall elements.
[026] In one embodiment, the opposing curved side parts include integrally injection molded coupling projections that mate in the coupling recesses in the corresponding side wall elements. The use of a curved side for the inclusion of a projection tongue allows an aesthetically pleasing product to be produced in a way that is adapted for injection molding since the necessary recess is able to be realized with such a structure.
[027] In one embodiment, the rear wall element includes vertical side walls extending along opposite side wall elements and which are respectively located on the same side as the rear side wall element since the curved opposite are parts of the rear side wall element. Such a vertical side wall could cover the coupling projections in a direction from the front to the back or in a direction normal to the flat part of the rear wall element, which would prevent the production of the cutouts necessary to make the coupling projections. In one embodiment, the vertical side walls are formed, each with cutouts to reveal the projection coupling on the curved side parts as seen in one direction along the flat part of the rear wall element. In one embodiment, the cutouts extend to the front end of the vertical side walls. In one embodiment, the cutouts reduce in length, in a direction along the vertical side wall from a front end to a rear end of the upright side wall.
[028] In one embodiment, the vertical side walls cooperate with the adjacent side wall element to define a receiving cavity for the material sheet. This double wall structure allows paper material, advertising material and the like to be inserted into the
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 26/142
13/56 cavity. In such an embodiment, the sidewall element is at least partially, preferably, mostly or entirely, transparent, so that the sheet material can be seen through the wall element outside the towel dispenser. The cutouts described above on the vertical side walls not only allow the coupling projections to be injection molded, but also offer convenient access to remove the sheet material. In addition, since the grooves can extend from the front edge to the adjacent rear edge of the vertical side walls, sheet materials of different sizes can be conveniently removed from the cavity, compared to when only a small cut is provided of thumb size.
[029] In a second embodiment of the invention, a table towel dispenser is provided comprising a rear wall element, a front element, including a dispensing opening and side wall elements that extend between the rear wall element and the front element defining an interior space for receiving a stack of wipes, at least one of the side wall elements includes an interior side wall element and an outer side wall element, which define a sheet receiving cavity material between them and which respectively support an inner surface and an outer surface of the material sheet, wherein the outer sidewall element is at least partially transparent so that the sheet material within the cavity can be seen at from the outside of the towel dispenser, in which the inner sidewall element is formed with an opening that extends a greater amount of distance from a front end to a rear end of the inner sidewall element.
[030] In this way, sheet materials of different heights, for
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 27/142
14/56 example, paper or thin cardboard sheets (less than 3 mm thick) or printed sheets or advertising sheets, can be inserted into the sheet cavity and easily recovered. The thumb-sized opening provides a small tolerance in height of sheet material before the sheet material is lost in the cavity, as it is completely covered by interior and exterior sidewall elements.
[031] In one embodiment, the opening is arranged centrally in relation to a direction that extends along the side wall element and perpendicular to the back-to-front direction. This provides immediate and intuitive access to sheet material.
[032] If only one adjustment rectangle is drawn around the inner sidewall element, the opening area forms at least 50% of the inner sidewall element. It also increases flexibility in the design of the template for the sheet material which can also be easily received from the sheet cavity.
[033] In one embodiment, the opening decreases in size from a front end to a rear end of the inner sidewall element, in a direction that extends along the inner sidewall element that is perpendicular to the back direction forward, so that a rear end of the element of the inner side wall is enlarged in relation to the front end. This provides an inner side wall element for greater stability. This is particularly necessary in a configuration in which the rear end of the interior wall element is connected to the rear wall element and the remaining part of the interior wall element extends freely in a vertical, cantilevered form from a body in of the rear wall element.
[034] In one embodiment, the inner side wall element is injection molded integrally with one piece of the wall element
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 28/142
15/56 rear and the outer sidewall element is a separate injection molded part. The outer sidewall element connects with the rear wall element through a projection formed on the rear side wall element that engages with a recess formed in the outer wall element. The projection is revealed by the opening in the interior side wall element, when viewed in a direction that extends along a flat base of the rear wall element. That is, a rear wall element includes a portion that extends above the bottom of the opening in a backward forward direction on the outside of the inner wall element that includes the projection that fits into the recess in the outer wall element. . The projection is formed on an interior surface of said portion of the rear wall element. The opening thus provides space for the projection to form during the injection molding process.
[035] In one embodiment, the dispenser includes a platform that is reciprocating towards the front and back, and that must seat the stack of wipes, and also includes a pressing element to press the platform towards the dispensing opening to present the stack of wipes in the dispensing opening, moving the platform under pressure towards the dispensing opening while the stack runs out.
[036] In one embodiment, the opening divides the inner sidewall element into separate first and second parts. In one embodiment, the first part and the second part include a guide rib or channel, respectively, which extends backwards and cooperates with a platform guide channel or rib to guide the reciprocal movement of the platform from from a rear of the dispenser to a front of the dispenser.
[037] In one embodiment, the interior wall element includes side extensions so that the cavity is closed on the sides, as well as in the
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 29/142
16/56 rear end, while it is open at the front end for receiving sheet material.
[038] In one embodiment, a plurality of projections is provided that extend from the inner wall element towards the outer wall element at a rear end of the inner wall element that defines flat surfaces in relation to a flat outer surface of a back wall element which extends parallel to a flat table surface, where the flat surfaces provide a seat on which a rear end of the sheet material rests in the cavity. In one embodiment, the plurality of projections are part of the reinforcement ribs that extend in a direction from back to front to reinforce the interior side wall element, as it protrudes freely from the rear wall element. The achievements provided for in this paragraph are independently applicable from the opening feature of the second embodiment of the invention. They are advantageous in that they provide a simple way to reinforce the interior wall element and provide a seat for the sheet material in terms of the distributor's fabrication.
[039] In one embodiment, the front element is provided by a cover element that is hingedly connected to the side wall elements in order to be able to rotate from an open position, where the interior space is accessible to refill the wipes, and a closed position, in which the interior of the space is closed, and the wipes must be removed through the distribution opening defined by the cover element.
[040] In one embodiment, a side wall element opposite said at least one side wall element defines a cavity of such sheet material and such an opening therein. In this way, the opposite sidewall elements are able to accommodate advertising or similar material,
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 30/142
17/56 inside the cavity so that the material can be viewed through the outer wall element on both sides. In addition, the advertising material can be of varying heights due to the advantageous configuration of the opening described above.
[041] In one embodiment, the interior side wall element is made of an opaque material. In one embodiment, the inner sidewall element extends, usually from a flat surface facing the interior of the distributor wall element and is injection molded integrally therewith. The injection molding material is opaque.
[042] In a third embodiment of the present invention, a table towel dispenser is provided that includes a cover element and an open end housing that defines an interior space for housing a stack of towels, wherein the cover element includes a dispensing opening, and in which the cover element is movable from an open position, to provide access to supply wipes in the interior space, and a closed position, to close the open end of the housing, where the cover element or the housing includes at least one resilient tongue or arm extending away from the cover element or the housing towards the other between the cover element or the housing and the other cover element or the housing includes an opening through which the projection the tongue or the resilient arm flexibly engages to hold the cover element in the closed position, where the projection can be pushed alongside remove from the outside of the towel dispenser and moved through the opening to flexively deflect the tongue inwardly to disengage the projection and opening to allow the cover element to be opened.
[043] In accordance with this embodiment of the invention, the mechanism for unlocking the cover element is more intuitive and may involve less
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 31/142
18/56 strength than a mechanism described above in relation to the state of the art in which an entire side wall has to be flexed, once the user knows the dexterity to operate the unlocking mechanism.
[044] In one embodiment, the tongue element is attached to one end of the cover element or to the housing and protrudes from there freely and includes an arm portion in the direction of projection and a projecting part defining the projection to engage the recess at the distal end of the arm part. This structure offers an easy to flex configuration.
[045] In one embodiment, the towel dispenser includes a platform on which the stack must rest and which is reciprocal within the housing from a position retracted from the dispensing opening to a position more adjacent to the opening in a backward direction. In one embodiment, the towel dispenser includes pressing means, such as a spring, for pressing the platform from the retracted position to a more adjacent position.
[046] In one embodiment, the platform is arranged so that the guide is flexed to disengage the projection from the opening in a way that is evident from the platform in the most adjacent position. This feature serves to facilitate the release of the cover element, in comparison with the state of the art arrangement whereby the deflection portion is obstructed by the platform.
[047] In one embodiment, the tongue depends on the cover element and the opening is provided in the housing. In one embodiment, the through opening is located in the housing above the plane of the platform in the back-to-front direction, when the platform is in the most adjacent position.
[048] In one embodiment, the cover element is connected in
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 32/142
19/56 articulated to the open end housing and rotates about the axis between the closed and open positions. In one embodiment, opposite tongue or tongues are provided on the side of the cover or housing element, in a central location, perpendicular to the pivot axis. In one embodiment, there is a first and a second of such passages and openings which are positioned in the housing or the cover element on opposite sides of a line extending from one side of the dispenser to the other, in parallel with the pivot axis.
[049] Alternatively, in one embodiment, the housing includes a rear face and four side faces, two larger than the other two to define an oblong end opening. In one embodiment, the tabs or openings are provided on the opposite minor side faces. In one embodiment, the cover element is pivotally connected at each end to the opposite faces of smaller dimension. The hinged connection is located in a corner portion of the minor faces, while the through-holes or tongues are located in the central region of the minor faces.
[050] In one embodiment, the housing includes opposite side walls that each define a channel defined between the first and second ribs that extend backwards. Each of the opposite sides of the platform includes protruding first and second tongues that are guided by the ribs on the outside of the channel. This arrangement provides a stable platform direction. The guides are part of an outer perimeter shape of the platform. In one embodiment, the first and second tongues include projections that extend towards the guide ribs, in order to reduce the area of contact with the guide ribs to improve the sensation of movement of the platform.
[051] In other words, the platform includes first and
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 33/142
20/56 second grooves extending through the thickness of the platform on each of the opposite sides of the same to receive first and second guide ribs of corresponding, opposite side wall elements, thereby guiding the movement of the platform. The first and second guide ribs extend from a rear end of the housing to a front end portion and define a channel between them. The platform may include opposite protruding portions received in opposite channels from the side wall elements to guide the movement of the platform from a retracted position to an extended position relative to the side of the dispensing opening.
[052] In one embodiment, at least one of the channels is closed at the front end by a crossbar that extends between the first and second guide ribs and the platform includes at least one limiting tongue (or projecting portion) that is arranged inside the channel and which contacts the crossbar to limit the movement of the platform beyond it in the direction from back to front, thus defining the most adjacent position of the platform. This way of limiting the movement of the platform is relatively easy to manufacture and provides a well integrated way to achieve the guide and limit functions for the movement of the platform. It is thus a characteristic of the invention applicable independently with respect to the tongue and opening locking mechanism for the lid element.
[053] In one embodiment, the restraint tab is located on a rear side of the platform thickness, so that the upper part of the platform extends over the crossbar in the direction from back to front. In this way, sufficient space is provided in the back-to-front direction from the top of the guide rails on the side of the housing to accommodate the opening or tongue, while the

21/56 platform is still positioned as close as possible to the distribution opening.
[054] In one embodiment, at least one tongue is positioned in line with the guide channel in the direction from front to back.
[055] In one embodiment, the crossbar includes an obstruction or stop element vertically in the back-to-front direction that limits the degree of deflection of the guide provided with the cover element when the projection of the tongue is moved out of the provided opening in the accommodation. This blocking element prevents excess deflection of the guide beyond its point of plastic deformation. In addition, the platform limitation and the guide functions and the tongue protection function are provided through a well-integrated functional complex.
[056] In one embodiment, the housing includes a stop member to limit deflection into the tongue or resilient arm to a stop position. In one embodiment, the stop position is located outside an extension that protrudes into the guide ribs of the stack arranged adjacent to the stop element so that the tongue does not deviate as far inward as to crush, crush or otherwise contact the stack of wipes. In addition, the limiting element prevents excessive stress on the tongue or the resilient arm. In one embodiment, the stop element is positioned on a side wall element of the housing. The stop element is positioned at one edge of the opening. In one embodiment, the stop element projects, so as to overlap with the opening. In another embodiment, the stop element is integrally molded with or engaged with a side wall element that is associated with it.
[057] In one embodiment, the tongue element is attached to one end of the cover element or to the housing and protrudes from there
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 35/142
22/56 freely and includes an arm portion in the projection direction and a projection portion defining a projection to engage the recess at the distal end of the arm portion, wherein the stop element is positioned to contact and obstruct the movement of a part of the distal end of the arm portion. In one embodiment, the stop member has a fixed end and a free end, where the free end protrudes from overlapping a deflection path into the guide element. In one embodiment, the fixed end of the stop member is located at the edge of the through opening.
[058] In one embodiment, a plurality of such passages and openings are provided.
[059] In a fourth embodiment of the present invention, a table towel dispenser is provided which comprises rear wall element and side wall elements that define an open end housing providing an interior space for housing a stack of towels, and a front element including a dispensing opening that is movable between a closed position to close the open end of the housing and an opening position that gives access to fill wipes in the interior space, wherein at least one, preferably, a plurality of elements sidewalled, include a plurality of ribs protruding inwardly extending in a direction from back to front, so that the ribs are presented into the interior space to guide the stack of wipes.
[060] These ribs are intended to maintain the integrity of the pile and allow the distributor to be oriented towards horizontal or vertical distribution.
[061] In one embodiment, the ribs protrude over an extension of 5 mm or more, 6 mm or more or 7 mm or more. This size of
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 36/142
23/56 ribs keep the stack away from the remainder of the side wall surface to guide the stack to the dispensing opening in a vertical and horizontal dispensing orientation of the dispenser.
[062] In one embodiment at least one, preferably a plurality of sidewall elements each include 3 or more of such ribs or 4 or more of such ribs. In one embodiment, the ribs are evenly or almost evenly distributed throughout the side wall element. A distribution of the ribs helps to ensure that the function of contacting and pushing the stack is achieved across the entire length of the sidewall element, in a direction along the plane of the sidewall element that is perpendicular to the direction of extension of the ribs. .
[063] In one embodiment, the ribs of a given sidewall element are connected by means of reinforcement ribs that project internally, from the sidewall element, but are recessed in relation to the extension of the rib projection. This helps to achieve a reinforcement function, minimizing any contact with the stack by the transverse elements. The contact of the reinforcement ribs with the stack tends to disturb the integrity of the stack, particularly when the distributor is oriented towards vertical distribution. In one embodiment, the reinforcement ribs protrude at least 1 mm, 2 mm, or 3 mm less than the guide ribs. The reinforcement ribs may be elements that are transverse in relation to the guide ribs, as they extend diagonally in relation to the back-to-front direction. In one embodiment, the guide ribs are aligned with or parallel to an axis of the distributor that extends from back to front.
[064] In one embodiment, the reinforcement ribs extend through a large extension (such as at least 80%, 90% or even completely) of the side wall element and the guide ribs become
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 37/142
24/56 extend over a large extent (such as at least 80%, 90% or even completely) of the side member. In one embodiment, the side wall element is an injection molded part and the reinforcement and guide ribs are integrally molded with it by injection. In one embodiment, the reinforcement ribs are provided in a crisscross pattern.
[065] In one embodiment, the front element is provided by a drawer that can slide in relation to the open end housing between the closed and open positions. In one embodiment, the movement of the drawer is guided by cooperating rails and channels arranged on opposite sides of the drawer. A rail or channel counterpart is provided on an interior surface of the first and second opposite side wall elements. Each of the third and / or fourth opposite side wall elements of the housing includes said ribs. The first, second, third and fourth sidewall elements make up, respectively, the four sides of a generally oblong open housing shape.
[066] In one embodiment, the drawer and channel and rail structure are such that the drawer is likely to slide between the open and closed position in a first orientation and also in an upside down orientation. In such an embodiment, the third and fourth elements of the sidewall include the ribs so that the ribs are in contact with the stack of dispensers in both orientations and a drawer tray in which the stack is arranged moves along the ribs in the opposite side wall element.
[067] In one embodiment, the drawer is opened on a surface opposite a drawer tray element so that the stack held in the tray element is able to come into contact with the ribs of the corresponding side wall element positioned against the open surface of the drawer to orient the stack.
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 38/142
25/56 [068] In one embodiment, the ribs at one or both of the opposite ends are tapered to merge with the remaining part of the side wall element surface. This feature ensures that the ribs do not offer any potentially aggressive surfaces that can trap the stack.
[069] In a fifth embodiment of the invention, a cover element is provided for a towel dispenser chute that is designed to move between the open and closed positions in relation to the chute, wherein the cover element comprises a dispensing opening through which the wipes are removed from the drain channel and at least one transparent window through which the wipes on the gutter are visible to allow a condition of low amount of wipes in the stack to be observed from the outside the towel dispenser through the window.
[070] In one embodiment, the at least one transparent window includes a transparent window arranged on one or both sides of the distribution opening. The at least one transparent window can be placed on the inside of the dispensing opening in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the dispensing opening in relation to the dispensing opening being elongated. The cover element can be curved and the at least one window arranged on the curve, so that with a front surface of a stack of wipes pressed against a rear surface of the cover element and the dispensing opening, at least one window transparent reveals one end of the stack in the direction of stacking the wipes. That is, the transparent window is arranged backwards due to the curvature of the cover element in relation to the dispensing opening.
[071] In one embodiment, a cover element body is
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 39/142
26/56 opaque so that the cover element is partially transparent and partially opaque when viewed from the outside. In one embodiment, the body provides an opaque structure over the distribution opening. In one embodiment, the body and the window are separate parts joined together, preferably parts molded separately by injection. In one embodiment, the body and window parts include interfaces of peripheral surfaces that overlap one another and that are provided with a layer of adhesive to secure the parts.
[072] In one embodiment, the lid element includes curved outer portions with respect to a central portion arranged inwardly so that the dispensing opening is at a vertex of the lid element with respect to the outer portions, wherein at least one of the outer portions are transparent to provide at least one window. This feature allows a sense of the thickness of the pile to be observed through the window to allow a better determination of the condition of low quantity of product. In one embodiment, the curvature is such that at least 1 cm, 2 cm or 3 cm or more of a pile that has a front leaf arranged against the distribution opening can be seen through the window, when viewed along a plane that extends perpendicularly along a central axis that passes through a direction from the rear to the front of the stack.
[073] In one embodiment, a lip part is also provided, which is attached to the body part to provide a lip for the dispensing opening. In one embodiment, the lip part and the body part are integral with each other and the body part is separated. In one embodiment, the lip parts are transparent. In one embodiment, the opaque body part and the transparent lip and window parts are positioned so that the lip area and the window are isolated from each other by an opaque zone.
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 40/142
27/56 [074] In one embodiment, a table wipe dispenser is provided which comprises an open end chute defining an interior receiving area for a stack of wipes, and a cover element, as defined above, which is between a closed position in relation to the rail and an open position in relation to the rail.
[075] The above achievements in all forms are combinable to the extent that such a combination is consistent with the following specific embodiments.
Brief description of the Drawings [076] Figure 1 shows a table top dispenser for dispensing wipes that has a removable drawer for increased towel capacity. The drawer is released by pressing resilient tabs on each side of a dispensing opening. The table top dispenser consists of four side wall elements and one rear element that are connected together. The larger side wall elements are made of first and second side wall plates, the outside of which is transparent so that the advertising material arranged in the space between the inner and outer side wall plates can be seen. The table towel dispenser includes a platform that is spring-loaded to urge a stack of towels held in the dispenser drawer towards the dispensing opening and away from the base element.
[077] Figure 2 shows a towel dispenser in which several components are presented before being assembled together. In particular, a drawer is shown which includes a front element, first and fourth side wall elements, a base element, a platform and a spring for pressing the platform towards the dispensing opening. The first to fourth sidewall elements and the base element are

28/56 coupled together to define an open-ended box (or rail) to receive the drawer in a sliding manner, movable between the open and closed positions in relation to the open-ended box. The spring, or push member, is connected to one end of a front facing surface of the base component and the other end to a rear facing platform surface.
[078] Figure 3 shows the drawer in detail. The drawer includes a tray element for receiving a stack of wipes and an element that attaches to the front of the tray element for defining the dispensing opening. The tray element includes resilient tabs that engage with the corresponding openings of the side wall elements when the drawer element is in the closed position and which can be compressed to release the drawer element from the open-ended box to allow it is retracted to a refueling position. Tray element walls have respective stop elements installed on them to prevent depression further into the resilient tabs.
[079] Figure 4 describes a front element of the towel dispenser in detail. The front element is made of two pieces that are coupled together. The first part provides an opaque frame for the dispensing opening and the mounting portions of the drawer element, while a second part is transparent and defines the edges of the dispensing opening, as well as filling in side portions of the first portion to provide a aesthetically pleasing transparent and opaque combination.
[080] Figure 5 shows a side wall element of the towel dispenser in detail. The towel dispenser includes first, second, third and fourth side wall elements, two opposites of which define relatively small corresponding areas, and two opposites define relatively large areas. Figure 5 shows the side elements
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 42/142
29/56 larger area in detail. The largest side wall element in area consists of first and second plates that are coupled together to define a space for receiving advertising material between them. The outside of the plates is transparent, while the inside of the plates is opaque, so that the advertising material can be seen through the transparent plate. It is also shown that the outer plates include four depressions at each corner to receive the respective foot elements to support the towel dispenser and to provide a smooth interface with the table surface.
[081] Figure 6 describes another embodiment of a table wipe dispenser of a type in which a back-to-front dimension or a stack height capacity dimension is less than a length and / or dimension of the width of the stack. dispenser, which can be compared to the towel dispenser of Figures 1 to 5, in which the front to back dimension is greater than a length and width dimension of the towel dispenser. The towel dispenser of Figure 6 is designed to rest on an element of the rear wall, so that a front wall element and its associated distribution opening are facing upwards, to define a vertical distribution dispenser. The towel dispenser of Figure 6 further includes four side wall elements that connect the rear wall element and the front wall element, where two of the opposite side elements have a larger area than the other two opposite side wall elements, so that the towel generally defines oblong shape. The front wall element is locked in the closed position in relation to a rail defined by the side elements and a rear wall element and can be released to open in an articulated manner with respect to the rail, in order to allow the refilling of a towel reservoir defined by the interior space defined within the
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 43/142
30/56 four side wall elements and the rear wall element. The platform is placed inside the interior space that is movable between a retracted position and an extended position, and is pressed by a compression element to the extended position in relation to the dispensing opening, so that the stack of wipes is always arranged adjacent to the dispensing opening, regardless of the depleted state of the towel stack.
[082] Figure 7 shows an exploded view of the various parts of the towel dispenser in Figure 6. This Figure shows that the four side elements, the rear wall element and the front wall element are parts molded separately by injection, such as is the platform. A sheet-sized cavity is arranged between the largest of the side elements, which is transparent, and the vertical elements of the interior walls which generally extend towards a general body of the rear wall element. An interior space that receives a stack is defined within the inner surfaces of the inner vertical elements of the rear wall element and the inner surfaces of the inner wall side elements. The platform is received and guided within this space between the retracted and extended positions. Also shown in Figure 7 are rectangular cards for arrangement within the cavity defined in the space between the larger side elements and the internal vertical side elements of the rear wall element.
[083] Figure 8 describes a two-piece construction for the cover or front element of the table towel dispenser. An opaque part includes rotating arms which have respective openings to receive the articulation projections of the smaller side elements, to define an articulation axis on which the cover element will rotate between the open and closed positions. The opaque part also includes dependent resilient fingers including tongue-like projections of coupling in respective openings in the

31/56 smaller side elements to allow the cover element to be locked in the closed position when the tongue projections engage with the openings and to allow the cover element to be released from the locking position for articulation to the open position , when the tongue projections are pressed by a user from the outside to deflect the resilient arms inwardly to uncouple the guide projections from the openings. A transparent part of the lid element defines an opening lip of the dispensing opening and also transparent outer portions arranged on both sides of the dispensing opening and extending from one end of the lid element to the other to provide transparent windows for viewing a depleted state of the wipes inside the towel dispenser.
Description of Embodiments of the Invention [084] A perspective view of a table wipe dispenser according to a first embodiment of the present invention is shown in Figure 1. The table wipe dispenser (1) consists of separately injection molded parts , which are capable of being assembled or coupled under pressure together in order to form the table towel dispenser (1) shown in Figure 1. Some of these parts can be seen in Figure 2, where a pre-assembly view is shown the top of the table cloth dispenser (1). The table towel dispenser (1) includes a base element (2), first, second, third and fourth side wall elements (3), (4), (5), (6), a front element (7 ), and a tray element (8).
[085] The base element (2) and the first, second, third and fourth side wall elements (3), (4), (5), (6) are coupled together to form an open-ended box in an oblong shape or chute (10) for accommodating a stack of wipes. The towel dispenser of
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 45/142
32/56 table (1) includes a drawer that includes a tray element (8) and a front element (7) that defines a dispensing opening (11) that are coupled together. The drawer (9) is movable between a rearmost position, in which an open end of the rail (10) is closed by the front element (7) of the drawer (9) and a position in which the drawer (9) is moved from of the rail (10) for easy refilling of the drawer (9) with wipes.
[086] The distributor (1) further comprises an elongated spring (15), which is connected to a front facing surface of the rear element (2) at one end and is connected to a rear facing the platform surface (14 ) at its other end. The platform (14) serves to contact a backward facing surface of a stack of wipes arranged in the drawer (9). The spring (15) is in a more compressed configuration when the drawer (9) is filled with wipes and in an extended configuration, when the drawer (9) becomes exhausted, so that the platform (14) impels the stack of wipes to a position adjacent to the dispensing opening (11), regardless of the state of depletion of the towel stack.
[087] The first, second, third and fourth side wall elements (3), (4), (5), (6) extend between the rear element (2) and an open end of the rail (10). The first, second, third and fourth sidewall elements (3), (4), (5), (6) include first and second sidewall elements (3), (4) that are the same length as the third and fourth side wall elements (5), (6) in the back to front direction, while still having a smaller width in the perpendicular direction when defining smaller area rectangular shapes for the first and second side wall elements (3), ( 4) than the third and fourth sidewall elements (5), (6).
[088] The rear element (2) provides a rear face
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 46/142
33/56 closed to the open rail (10) having an open front end. The rear element (2) includes first and second tongue projections (16), (17) that project from an outer periphery of the rear element (2) to engage the corresponding recess (18) at the rear end of one of the first and second side wall elements (3), (4). The first and second tongue projections (16), (17) are projected in a lateral direction. By flexibly flexing the first and second tongue projections (16), (17) in a backward direction, the corresponding openings (18) in the first and second side wall elements (3), (4) are firmly coupled to thus assemble the rear element (2) and the first and second side elements (3), (4) together.
[089] The rear element (2) further includes brackets (19), which overlap a periphery of a rear end of the spring (15) in a backward direction, in order to connect the spring (15) to the element rear (2). These supports (19) are provided on a front-facing surface of the rear element (2). The platform (14) includes the elements (20) that correspondingly overlap one edge of the spring at the other end in a direction from front to back, in order to connect the other end of the spring (15) to the underside of the platform ( 14).
[090] The third and fourth widest side wall elements (5), (6) include resilient tongue elements (21) that project laterally from an outer periphery of the side wall elements (5), (6 ), in order to mount the third and fourth sidewall elements (5), (6) to the first and second sidewall elements (3), (4). More specifically, the projecting tongue elements (21) flex flexibly in order to pass into the corresponding openings in the first and second side wall elements (3), (4) and return elasticly to the initial position, in order to connect with them. How can
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 47/142
34/56 seen particularly in Figure 5b, a rear end of the side wall elements (5), (6) includes at least one (two in the illustrated embodiment) projection (22) for coupling with the corresponding structure in the rear wall element (2). Still referring to Figure 5B, it can be seen that the third and fourth side wall elements (5), (6) include tongue projections (21) on both sides of them, so that the third and fourth wall elements lateral (5), (6) are symmetrical with respect to a central axis that extends direction from front to back. The symmetrical constructions of the side wall elements (3), (4), (5), (6), allow the first and second side wall elements (3), (4) to be switched positions with respect to with respect to the rear element (2) and likewise the third and fourth side wall elements (5), (6) are interchangeable, but the tongue projections (21), the coupling projections (22) and the protruding tongues ( 16), (17) are still aligned with counterpart openings, even when interchanged. In this way, manufacturing is simplified for a towel dispenser that can be assembled by coupling its first and second side wall elements (3), (4) and third and fourth side wall elements (5), (6), that need not be discriminated against. The third and fourth sidewall elements (5), (6) include a greater number (four in the shown embodiment) of projections extending outwards (21) to connect them to the first and second sidewall elements (3 ), (4), since the rear element (2) (which includes two tongues (16), (17) extending outwardly) engages the first and second side wall elements (3), (4).
[091] The rail (10) is thus formed by connecting the rear element (2) and the first to fourth side wall elements (3), (4), (5), (6) by projections that engage in recesses (term that includes grooves), to define, thus, a generally oblong shaped rail (10) having a
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 48/142
35/56 open end.
[092] The third and fourth side wall elements (5), (6) include, on an interior side thereof, a plurality (in the shown embodiment four) of ribs (23) extending longitudinally from a rear end to a front end of the respective side wall element (5), (6). These protruding ribs protrude from a distance in order to support a wall that defines the tray element tray (8) of the drawer (9), in a low friction way, with respect to the four side wall elements (6) and they can project onto a side face of the towel stack disposed in the drawer (9) to orient the towel stack. In an example of structure, the ribs (23) protrude over a distance of about 7 mm. Also shown, but not identified by a reference numeral, crossbars that connect the guide ribs (23) and are oriented diagonally to structurally reinforce the ribs (23).
[093] The first and second side elements (3), (4) include a structure to guide the retraction and extension of the drawer (9). In particular, the first and second side wall elements (3), (4) include channels (24) on an inwardly facing surface for receiving the opposite tracks of the drawer (9). The channels (24) extend from a rear end to a front end of the side wall elements (3), (4). The channels (24) are, in the shown embodiment, defined between the first and second ribs (26), (27) that extend in a direction from front to back and are spaced apart in a direction perpendicular to them, to provide a space or channel between them, to receive the guide rails (25).
[094] The first and second side wall elements (3), (4) are formed symmetrically in relation to a central axis passing from behind
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 49/142
36/56 forward by the rail (10), so that the first and second side wall elements (3), (4) include upper and lower guide channels (24). This allows the first and second sidewall elements (3), (4) to be interchanged to facilitate the manufacturing process and also allows the drawer element (9) to be mounted in the orientation shown in Figure 1 and also in an upside-down orientation in relation to the rail (10). In reality, the third and fourth sidewall elements (5), (6) are formed symmetrically with respect to the central axis, so that they can also be exchanged with each other. In this way, an injection mold can be used to form both the first and second side wall elements (3), (4), and an injection mold can also be used to form both the third and the fourth side elements. side wall (5), (6).
[095] Returning to the guiding channels (24) of the drawer in the first and second side wall elements (3), (4), the guiding rib (27) of the most centrally arranged drawer is a continuous rib (or at least the most continuous), while the other guide rib (26) is discontinuous, formed in a plurality of rib portions spaced from front to back to provide a low friction interaction with the rails (25) for the rib (26) where the weight of the drawer (9) will rest. The discrete rib parts of the drawer guide rib (26) are located with recesses to receive the tongue-like projection (21) of the third and fourth side wall elements (5), (6), which provides a clearance for molding the corresponding recesses or grooves in the first and second side wall elements (3), (4).
[096] Referring to Figures 3a and 3b, the drawer (9), specifically the tray element (8), includes opposite guide rails (28) that protrude from outside the tray element (8) . The rails
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 50/142
37/56 guide (28) are provided to be accommodated in the opposite guide channels (24) of the first and second side wall elements (3), (4), in order to guide the movement of the drawer (9), in a retracted position to an extended position in relation to the rail (10).
[097] The guide rails (28) are defined by a pair of spaced ribs (29), (30) extending longitudinally from a rear end to a front end of the drawer (9). These ribs (29), (30) define a relatively deep rail for insertion into the channel (24), at the same time, reducing the friction contact with the first and second side wall elements (3), (4), in comparison with a solidly defined rail (28). The first and second guide ribs (29), (30) are, in the shown embodiment, connected at the rear and front ends to define a continuous circuit. The upper guide rib (30) of the guide rail (28) is formed with a concave depression to allow the drawer to be inserted in an upward inclined state with respect to a central axis that passes in a back-to-front direction. rail (10) and, once partially inserted, lowered, so that the drawer (9) moves along the axis to the stowed position.
[098] The tray element (8) comprises a base wall (31) and first and second vertical side walls (32), as well as the rear corner pieces (33). The stack of wipes is stored in the drawer (9), in an interior space defined by the base wall (31), the vertical side walls (32) and the rear corner pieces (33). The rear corner pieces (33) frame an opening at the rear of the drawer element (8), through which the platform (14) passes, since the drawer element (8) is mounted on the rail (10). With the drawer element (8) in the stowed position so that the rail (10) is closed by the front element (7), the platform (14) and the spring (15) partly protrude through the
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 51/142
38/56 opening framed by the rear corner pieces (33) to contact a rear face of the stack in the drawer (9). Parts of the platform (14) and spring (15) will be placed behind the rear opening in the drawer (9), in a space in the back-to-front direction defined between the corner pieces (33) and the rear element (2) .
[099] The front-facing surface of the corner pieces (33) provides a surface against which a rear face of the towel stack rests when the drawer element (9) is filled with towels. At least the base wall (31) and the vertical side walls (32) of the tray element (8) are integrally injection molded. The back wall pieces (33) can be injection molded separately and attached in place to the side walls (32) or they can be integrally injection molded with the rest of the tray element (8).
[0100] The front part of the drawer (9) is provided by a front element (7), which includes the distribution opening (11). The side walls (32) of the tray element (8) include grooves (34) which extend through them and in communication with a front part thereof. The front element (7) includes corresponding ribs to provide mechanical adjustment between the front element (7) and the tray element (8). In one embodiment, adhesive is also applied between the ribs and the grooves (34) to ensure that the front element (7) is firmly attached to the tray element (8) of the drawer (9). Other fixing mechanisms are possible, including a variation of the coupling. The combination of the mechanical coupling and the adhesive is used for the connection between the front element (7) and the tray element (8) in one embodiment since this is a highly manipulated part of the table towel dispenser (1) during use .
[0101] The drawer (9) includes a first and a second tongue
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 52/142
39/56 (12), arranged in a front end portion of the side walls (32) and which can be flexed into the interior space defined by the tray element (8) to disengage tabs that protrude (36) from the corresponding openings (13) in the first and second elements of the side wall (3), (4), thus releasing the drawer (9) from a locked position and retracted for movement to a more extended or removed position in relation to the rail (10). The first and second tongues (12) include resilient fingers (35) and protruding tongues (36) arranged at the distal end of the resilient fingers (35). The projecting tabs (36) are engaging elements with respect to the resilient fingers (35) in order to allow the base wall (31) and the side walls (32) and the resilient fingers (35) to be integrally molded by injection to form the tray element (8). The guide rail (28) is also an integrally injection molded component of the tray element (8).
[0102] The tray element (8) includes stop elements (37) to prevent the resilient fingers (35) from extending too far inward, in order to prevent the resilient fingers (35) from damaging the stack of wipes and also to avoid overloading the resilient fingers (35). The stop elements are provided by means of an obstruction surface in the passage of the flexion into the resilient fingers (35). In the shown embodiment, the stop elements (37) are mounted on the side walls (32) of the tray element (8) at a distal end of the resilient fingers (35) and include a projection arranged in the course of a flexion towards the interior of the resilient fingers (35). The stop elements (37) are formed on a ramp as they decrease to merge with the side walls (32) in a backward direction and project further beyond the side walls (32) forward to guide the wipes to the distribution opening (11). The stop elements (37) are formed separately from the tray (9) and
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 53/142
40/56 attached to the side walls (37), which in turn allows the tray element (9) to be injection molded, while still allowing functional components, such as the stop elements (37) to be provided with low manufacturing complexity.
[0103] With reference to Figures 4a and 4b, the front element (7) includes a transparent part (38) and an opaque part (39). These parts (38), (39) are connected together to provide a front element (7) partially opaque and partially transparent. The transparent and opaque parts (38), (39) can, in one embodiment, be bonded adhesive to each other. The transparent part (38) forms a lip (40) around a frame for the distribution opening (11) formed by the opaque part (39). The transparent part (38) fills the cut-out portions (41) defined in the opaque part (39) to form transparent half-moon regions on both sides of the dispensing opening (11) in order to allow the stack of wipes can be seen through the front element (7).
[0104] In particular, the front element has a curved profile so that the front element (7) extends from the distribution opening (11) and curves from the front in a backward direction, so that the thickness of the end of the front of the stack of wipes in the drawer (9) can be seen. The transparent part (38) includes this curved profile, so that the front end portion of the stack, in a direction from the height of the stack from front to back, can be seen through it. The dispensing opening (11) is generally grooved with an enlarged portion, in a central region of the groove.
[0105] Transparent windows (50) on both sides of the distribution opening (11) provided by the transparent part (38) are elongated and share a longitudinal axis that extends parallel to a longitudinal axis of the slot-shaped distribution opening. Once the

41/56 front end portion of the stack can be viewed through the front element (7), can be quickly and easily determined when the stack of wipes is in a low quantity condition and also provides an intuitive feel for dispensing operation .
[0106] Referring to Figures 5a and 5b, each of the third and fourth side wall elements (5), (6) is formed by inner and outer plates (42), (43) that can be cut together in order to to define a space to receive advertising material between them. The space for receiving the advertising material is substantially flat so that it is just large enough to receive a sheet material, such as paper or thin cardboard. In order to keep the inner and outer plates (42), (43) slightly apart to define the space for receiving advertising material, the inner plate (42) includes a projection that protrudes outwards (44). This projection (44) keeps the space for receiving advertising material open, while avoiding excessive supply of advertising material in the space. The inner and outer plates are parts molded separately by injection, which allows the side wall elements (5), (6) and particularly the space for advertising material defined by them to be formed with low manufacturing complexity. The inner plate (45) includes a thumb-sized notch, so that the advertising material kept in the space between the inner and outer plates (42), (43) can be easily retrieved from the inside of the rail (10).
[0107] The inner and outer plates (42), (43) engage together by means of L-shaped supports (46) and resilient fingers (47) so that the inner and outer plates (42), (43 ) can be brought together and partially overlapped in a normal direction to the plates (42), (43) and then moved longitudinally in a front to back
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 55/142
42/56 so that the L-shaped brackets (46) engage against mating surfaces of the inner plate (42), in face of which the elasticity of the resilient fingers (37) flexes for locking coupling with the surfaces of the outer plate (43) to prevent the outer plate (43) from being moved in a backward direction to prevent the reverse operation of the assembly operation described above. The L-shaped supports (46) are moved for coupling with other locking surfaces on the inner plate (42), as a result of the relative movement between the inner and outer plates (42), (43) in the direction from front to back to block the movement of the outer paca (43) in relation to the inner plate (42) in a direction normal to the planes defined by the plates (42), (43). In this way, the combination of the resilient fingers (47) and the L-shaped supports (46) and the locking surfaces of the first and second plates (42), (43) block the inner and outer plates (42), (43 ) together in a direction from front to back, a direction from back to front and in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the plates (42), (43).
[0108] Referring now to Figures 1 and 2, feet (46) are shown which can be mounted (for example, glued) on corresponding depressions in the third and fourth side wall elements (5), (6) and / or corresponding depressions (48) in the rear wall element (2). The dispenser (1) has depressions in both the third and fourth side wall elements (5), (6) and the rear wall element (2), so that the table top dispenser (1) can be used in a horizontal distribution orientation, in which case they will be provided in the depressions (47), or with a vertical distribution orientation, in which case the feet (46) will be provided in the depressions (48) of the rear wall element (2) . The feet (46) serve to lift the towel dispenser (1) off the table surface and are made of a material such as rubber, which is softer than the third and fourth sidewall elements (5), (6) in
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 56/142
43/56 outer surfaces or the rear wall element (2) on the outer surface to provide smooth, scratch-free interaction with the table surface.
[0109] The refill operation for the towel dispenser (1) and a dispensing operation for the towel dispenser (1) will now be described with reference to Figures 1 to 5.
[0110] In order to fill the towel dispenser (1), the projections (36) of the tongues (12) on either side of the dispensing opening (11) can be pressed inward to flex flexibly the resilient fingers (35 ) to take the projections of tongues (36) out of coupling with the openings (13) in the first and second elements of the side wall (3), (4). In this way, the drawer (9) for housing a stack of wipes is released from a locked and closed position in relation to the rail (10) of the towel dispenser (1). Once unlocked, the drawer (9) can be retracted in relation to the rail (10), pulling the front element (7) forward, keeping the projections (36) of the tabs (12) in the flexed release position.
[0111] The drawer (9) can continue to be retracted until it is completely removed from the limits of the rail (10) by sliding the guide rails (25) on both sides of the drawer (9), along the guide channels (24), in the first and second side wall elements (3), (4). Once the drawer (9) is removed, it can be filled with wipes by aligning a stacking height of the wipes with a back to front direction of the drawer (9), so that a rear face of the stack of wipes is positioned against the parts of the rear wall (33) of the drawer (9) and so that a front face of the towel stack is aligned with the front element (7) of the drawer (9).
[0112] In order to reinsert the drawer (9) into the rail (10)
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 57/142
44/56 open end, the rear part of the drawer (9) is inserted into the open end of the rail (10), so that the guide rails (25) are inserted into the guide channels (24). In order to facilitate this assembly process, the guide rails (25) may include an inclined portion at their rear end, in order to allow the drawer (9) to be inclined with respect to a central axis passing in a direction of front to back of the rail (10). Once the guide rails (25) have already started to run in the guide channels (24), the drawer (9) is brought into a position aligned with the central axis and moves to a recessed position, so that the element front (7) sits flush against a front end (30) of the rail to close the open end of the rail (10), in view of which the projections (36) of the tongues (12) enter the openings (13) under resilient reforming of the resilient fingers (35) in order to lock the drawer element (9) in the stowed position.
[0113] When the drawer (9) passes through the open end of the rail (10), the opening of the rear end of the drawer (9) defined by the parts (33) being arranged in a frame around the opening (14) allows that the platform passes, at least partially, through the rear opening in the drawer (9) to engage against a rear face of the stack. As the drawer (9) is moved to the stowed position, and with the platform (14) pressed against a rear end of the stack, the platform (14) is moved to the rear end of the rail (10), which does with which the spring (15) is compressed. As such, the stack of wipes is tilted forward in the drawer (9) to a position adjacent to the dispensing opening (11) when the drawer (9) is in the closed and retracted position.
[0114] If applicable, a sheet of advertising material can be fed between the inner and outer plates (42), (43) of the third and / or fourth side wall elements (5), (6). As desired, rubber feet can
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 58/142
45/56 be mounted (for example, glued) on corresponding depressions (47) at the corners of the outer surface of one of the third or fourth side wall elements (5), (6) or the rear wall element (2), depending whether horizontal or vertical distribution should be implemented.
[0115] Wipes contained in the drawer (9) when the drawer (9) is in the locked and retracted position can be removed through the dispensing opening (11), so that they come into contact with the transparent lip (40) while are withdrawn. The part (38) that forms the lip can be made of a different material, such as one having a greater interaction by friction with the wipes, in order to ensure the distribution of one wipe at a time. As the stack runs out, it will come to a point where the platform or at least the rear extension of the towel stack can be seen through the transparent windows (50) arranged on both sides of the dispensing opening (11) in the parts curved behind the front element (7) or where the back curve together with the transparent windows (50) allows an end portion, such as at least ten wipes, pressed against the front element (7) to be viewed.
[0116] As the stack of wipes runs out, the platform (14) moves under the force of the tension spring (15) towards the front element (7) to ensure that a wipe is disposed in the dispensing opening ( 11) during the time that wipes remain in the stack stored in the drawer (9). The towel stack will generally be folded interspersed so that when the frontmost towel is removed through the dispensing opening (11) for use, the adjacent towel in the stack is partly pulled through the dispensing opening (11) with it to be pulled when next use.
[0117] Another embodiment of a table top dispenser according to the present invention is shown in Figure 6. Figure 6 shows
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 59/142
46/56 a table cloth dispenser (60), which can be seen in the exploded view in Figure 7.
[0118] The table towel dispenser comprises a rear wall element (61), first and second side wall elements (62), (63) and third and fourth side wall elements (64), (65). The rear wall element (61) and the first to the fourth side wall elements (60) to (65) are separate injection molded parts that are capable of being engaged together to form a chute (70), which is closed with the exception of an open front end. A cover element (66) is pivotally connected to the rail (70), between an open position, which allows access to the open front end of the rail (70), and a closed position that closes the open front end of the rail (70). 70) so that the wipes arranged within a spaced interior defined by the rail (70) are removed through the dispensing opening (69) of the cover element (66).
[0119] The rear wall element (61) includes a flat inner surface (71) that extends parallel to the table top plane when the dispenser is over the rear wall element (61). Side parts are curved upwards to define a curved edge (72) on the long sides of the rear wall element (61). In addition, the upright inner side walls (73) normally extend to the flat surface (71) and define the inner and outer surfaces that are parallel to the inner and outer surfaces of the inner and outer surfaces of the larger side elements (64), ( 65).
[0120] First and second projecting tabs (74) extend from the edges of the smaller sides of the rear wall element (61). The projecting first and second tongues (74) engage with recesses arranged under the first and second small side elements (62),
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 60/142
47/56 (63), in order to fix the rear wall element (61) to them. A projection (75) is also arranged on the inner surface of the curved edges (72) between the outer surface of the vertical side walls (72) and the long side edge of the rear wall element (61) in a centrally arranged location along the long side edge. These projections (75) engage with corresponding recesses (76) arranged at the rear end of the third and fourth side wall elements (64), (65). In addition, the third and fourth sidewall elements (64), (65) include tongues (77) that project from the smaller sides of the same to engage corresponding recesses (78) provided in the smaller sidewall elements (62), (63). The recesses (78) are defined by rails that normally project from a general body of the first and second elements of the side wall (62), (63) inwards and which include openings or recesses (78) arranged through them. In this way, the chute (70) is formed from five parts molded separately by injection (61) to (65) which are coupled under pressure together through projections of coupling in recesses in a corresponding coupling element.
[0121] The cavity is arranged in a space between the inner surfaces of the third and fourth sidewall elements (64), (65) and the outer surfaces of the vertical inner sidewalls (73) of the rear wall element (61) that it is made in the form of a sheet or plaque to receive advertising material, such as the cards (79) shown in Figure 7. The outer sidewall elements (64), (65) are transparent, so that advertising or other information on the cards (79) can be viewed through the third and fourth sidewall elements (64), (65) from the outside of the towel dispenser (60). Each of the vertical inner sidewalls (73) includes a central cutout that extends from a front end to a rear end and is larger at
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 61/142
48/56 front end than at the rear end to define an upside-down isosceles trapezoid shape for the cutout.
[0122] The opposing vertical internal side walls (73) of the rear element (61) are thus formed in two distinct parts separated by the cutout. This allows the cards (79) to be arranged in the space between the outer surface of the vertical inner side walls (73) and the third and fourth side wall elements (64), (65) that are less than the height accommodated by the space and that can still be recovered from inside the distributor, through the cutouts. Furthermore, the cutouts extend below an upper edge of the curved edge (72), which provides clearance for injection, the molding of the recesses necessary to produce the projections (75), which engage with the recesses (76 ) in the third and fourth side wall elements (64), (65).
[0123] The platform (67) includes notches (80) at each corner end of the long sides of the platform (67) that extend through the thickness of the platform (67). The notches (80) receive guide ribs (81) that extend from a rear end to a front end of the inner surfaces of the vertical inner side walls (73), whereby the notches (80) and ribs (81 ) guide the movement of the platform (67) from a retracted position adjacent the flat surface (71) of the rear wall element (61) to an extended position, adjacent to the dispensing opening (69).
[0124] The platform (67) also includes a pair of notches (82) that extend through the thickness of the platform (67) on each of the smaller sides of the platform (67). The pair of notches (82) is spaced apart, in a central position on the short sides, in order to define a projection portion (83) between them. The first and second side wall elements (62), (63) are each provided with guide ribs (84) which
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 62/142
49/56 extend from a rear end to an adjacent front end of the respective side wall element (62), (63). The projecting parts (83) of the platform (67) are received between the guide ribs (84), while the guide ribs (84) are received in the notches (82). In this way, the platform (67) is guided by a guide mechanism provided on each of its four sides, that is, by means of notches and ribs.
[0125] The guide ribs (84) on each of the first and second side wall elements (62), (63) are connected to a front end of a cross member rib (85), the cross member of rib (85) is positioned backwards, in the back-to-front direction of a front edge of the first and second side wall elements (62), (63) so that bypass openings (67) extending through a thickness of the first and second side wall elements (62), (63) are located above the rib-connecting cross member (85).
[0126] The cover element (66) includes resilient fingers (88) dependent with tongue-like projections (89) arranged at the distal ends thereof. The tongue-like projections (89) are sized to be received in the openings (87) through the first and second side wall elements (62), (63) to block a closed position of the cover element (66). Outside the towel dispenser (60), a user can press the tongue projections (89) inwardly through the openings (87) to flex flexibly the resilient fingers (88), thereby releasing the cover element (66) for its opening. When the cover element (66) is returned to the closed position, the tongue projections (89) engage against the first and second side wall elements (62), (63) to flex the resilient fingers (88) inward until that projections of
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 63/142
50/56 tongue (89) align with the through openings (87) at the point where the tongue-like projections reconnect with the openings (87) under the compression of the resilient fingers (88) to lock the cover elements (66).
[0127] Stop elements (86) protrude in a backward direction from a forward facing surface of the cross-linked rib element (85) and are arranged in a deflection path into the resilient fingers (88), to avoid excessive deflection into the resilient fingers (88). The forward facing edge of the stop elements (86) is arranged below a bottom edge of the openings (87). The stop elements (86) define a stop position for deflection into the resilient fingers (88), so that the resilient fingers (88) cannot be moved inwardly to a position at or beyond the extension into the guide ribs (84) of the first and second side wall elements (62), (63), so that the resilient fingers (88) are prevented from coming into contact with the wipes, and thus crushing them . That is, the extension towards the inside of the guide ribs (84) defines the location of the stack in a longitudinal direction of the platform (67) and the stop elements (86) are arranged to the outside of that extension inwards, to prevent the resilient fingers (88) come into contact with the stack of wipes.
[0128] A spring (68) is placed between the flat surface (71) of the rear wall element (61) and a side facing the rear of the platform (67). The rear side of the platform (67) includes brackets for fixing one end of the spring (68). The other end of the spring rests freely against the flat surface (71) of the rear wall element (61) (although it can be fixed to it by brackets or the like, for simplicity of manufacture). The retracted position of the platform (67) is defined when a rear side of the platform (67) comes into contact with the surface
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 64/142
51/56 flat (71) of the rear wall element (61). An extended position of the platform (67) is defined when a side facing the front of the projection portions (83) of the platform (67) comes into contact with a side facing the rear of the cross-linked rib component (85). The spring (68) presses the platform (67) from the retracted position to the extended position so that the wipes are always arranged adjacent to the dispensing opening (69), regardless of the state of depletion of the towel stack.
[0129] The cover element (66) includes a first and second hinge arms (90) at each end of the long side of the cover element (66). The first and second hinge arms (90) include hinge openings (91) through them, at a distal end of the hinge arms (90) that receive hinge projections (92) arranged on an interior surface of the first and second elements side wall (62), (63), respectively. Each of the first and second elements of the sidewall (62), (63) includes first and second articulation projections (92) in a front end portion thereof and arranged symmetrically with respect to a backward-forward axis that passes centrally between the short sides of the first and second side wall elements (62), (63). In this way, the cover element (66) can be mounted on one side of the first and second side wall elements (62), (63) or on the other side of the first and second side wall elements (62), (63) . In terms of production, this means that the first and second side wall elements (62), (63) can be identical parts and exchanged with each other, to simplify the manufacturing process. In reality, the third and fourth sidewall elements (64), (65) are formed from the same injection mold, as are the first and second sidewall elements (62), (63), and are interchangeable with each other at the distributor
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 65/142
52/56 (60) of wipes.
[0130] With reference to Figures 8a and 8b, the cover element (66) is a construction of two parts made of parts (93), (94) injected separately. There is a transparent part (93) and an opaque part (94). The opaque piece (94) includes the pivot arm (90) and resilient fingers and tongue projections (88), (89). The transparent part (93) provides a lip (97) of the dispensing opening (69) and also transparent windows (95), (96) arranged on both sides of the dispensing opening (69) and extending along the opening distribution (69) along a long side of the cap element (66), substantially from one end to the other. The cover element (66) includes a flatter part framing the dispensing opening (69), as provided by the opaque part (94), while the transparent windows (95) and (96) curve backwards from the flatter part, so that a depth of the wipe stack (such as at least 10 wipes) can be seen through the transparent windows (95), (96), so that a user can determine when the wipe stack is coming to a state of exhaustion. The transparent part (93) and the opaque part (94) include overlapping interface surfaces and are provided with an adhesive layer to adhere the first and second parts (93) together (94).
[0131] The towel dispenser (60) further includes four feet made of a relatively soft material, compared to the first and second side wall elements (62), (63) or the rear wall element (61) and which they are arranged in respective depressions in corner portions of an outer surface of a surface facing behind the towel dispenser (60). The soft feet (100) can be attached by gluing to the depressions. The depressions can be provided on an outer surface of a surface facing behind the first and second
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 66/142
53/56 sidewall elements (62), (63). The feet (100) provide an interface between the towel dispenser (60) and the table top surface and lift the remainder of the outer surface of the back surface of the towel dispenser (60) from the table top surface to avoid scratching the surface of the table top. The feet (100) can be made, for example, of rubber.
[0132] In use, the second embodiment of the table cloth dispenser (60) is standing on the feet (100) on the table top surface. To fill the towel dispenser (60) with wipes, the tongue projections (89) protruding into the through-openings (87) in the first and second side wall elements (62), (63) are pressed out of the first and second second side wall elements (62), (63) to allow the cover element (66) to be rotated around the pivots (91), (92) so that the cover (66) is moved to a position where the cover body extends substantially in parallel and outside one of the third and fourth side wall elements (64), (65). The cover member (66) is therefore moved to an open position exposing the open end of the rail (70).
[0133] The stack of wipes can be placed with the back of the stack resting on the surface facing the front of the platform (67). To close the cover element (66), the stack and the platform are pushed down to the position where a portion facing the rear of the platform surface (67) comes into contact with the flat facing surface (71) of the rear wall element (61) so that the platform (67) is in its stowed position. The movement of the platform (67) is guided by notches (80), (82) and guide ribs (81), (84) on each of the four sides of the platform (67) and by the projecting portion (82) of the platform (67) being arranged between the pair of guide ribs (84) on the first and
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 67/142
54/56 according to sidewall elements, respectively. With the platform (67) arranged in the stowed position and the stack of wipes, thus, away from the leading edge of the rail (70), the cover element (66) can be rotated around the pivots (91), (92) to the closed position to close the rail (70).
[0134] As the cover element (66) is moved to the closed position, the tongue projections (89) engage against the first and second side wall elements (62), (63) to deflect the fingers inwards resilient (88) until the tongue projections (89) align with the through holes (87) in the first and second side wall elements (62), (63). At this point, the resilient fingers force the tongue projections (89) outwardly, through the through openings (87) to lock the cover element (66) in the closed position.
[0135] The wipes can be removed through the dispensing opening (69) so that they come in contact with the lip (97) provided by the first part (93) of the cover element (66). The lip (69) can be made of a material with greater friction in relation to the wipes than the other part (94) of the cover element (66) so that the adjacent wipe in the stacking order for wipe distribution is more securely gripped by the dispensing opening to ensure successful dispensing operation of one folded towel interspersed at a time. As the battery reaches a depleted state, the user receives a warning by viewing the bottom of the battery or a surface facing the front of the platform (67) through the windows (95), (96), to receive an indication that the distributor (60) wipe must be refilled.
[0136] The towel dispenser (60) further includes provision for placing advertising or other information cards within a sheet-shaped cavity, disposed between the inner surface and the third and fourth sidewall elements (64), (65 ) and the outer surface of the walls
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 68/142
55/56 internal sides (73) of the rear (61). The height of the information cards (79) backwards can be flexibly designed, since the inner side walls (73) include a centrally arranged notch, which extends from the front end to the rear end of the same. The cards (79) can include written information, graphics, advertising information or aesthetically pleasing designs that can be viewed through the outer side wall elements (64), (65) transparent.
[0137] Several modifications can be made to the embodiments described above.
[0138] An example of such a modification is that the rails (25) of the drawer (9) shown in Figure 2 can be provided in the split form in which it does not extend continuously from the rear end to the front end of the tray element (8). Instead, the tracks (25) can be divided into two or more separate tracks distributed from the front end to the rear end of the tray element (8).
[0139] In the first embodiment, where ribs (23) are arranged on the interior surfaces of the third and fourth sidewall elements (5), (6), this can be modified so that only the inner surface of the sidewall elements ( 5), (6) in contact with the towel stack when the drawer element (9) is mounted in a predetermined orientation on the rail (10) is provided with ribs (23). This modification would functionally achieve the guide function of the stack, but at the expense of production flexibility since the third and fourth sidewall elements (5), (6), would then not be interchangeable.
[0140] In the first embodiment, the guide rails (25) of the drawer (9) are provided by means of upper and lower ribs connected at each end. A solid rail that does not include the space between the first and
Petition 870190116183, of 11/11/2019, p. 69/142
56/56 second ribs and instead is filled with material could alternatively be provided, to the detriment of the low friction arrangement of the first embodiment and considerations of weight and use of the material.
[0141] In the drawer (9) of the first embodiment, the rear opening is provided by four corner pieces (33). Each of these four corner pieces (33) is separate from each other. The shape of the continuous frame could, however, be provided, although this may make injection molding of the drawer less easy (9).
[0142] In the first and second embodiments, the front element (7) or the cover element (66) are made of separate first and second pieces. It is envisaged, however, that four separate elements may be provided, a first opaque part, as shown in the Figures, a second lip piece and a third and fourth transparent window piece. In this way, the transparent windows would not be connected to the transparent lip through the connection of screens as shown in Figures 4 and 8.
